UltraHPQ will construct a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for Ultra High Purity Quartz Sand on the Lansdown Eco-Industrial Precinct (LEIP) near Townsville in Queensland, Australia.  The project is progessing well and production is targeted to commence in Q2 2028.

The following key milestones and achievements have already been met:

• Support from State and Federal government through PFS grant funding and land allcoation at LEIP, due to strong alignment with Critial Mineral Strategies
•  Independent technical and application testwork has validated the suitability of UltraHPQ high purity quartz sand for high value applications, including solar PV crucible manufacture
• Independent market research confirming attractive positive growth trends in key target markets
• Completion of Preliminary Feasibility Study and commencement of Detailed Feasibility Study leading to Final Investment Decision.
• PFS shows a technically feasible project with strong economics with significant growth potential.

Raw material for the processing facility will be supplied from a fully granted mining lease at Sugarbag Hill mine which is owned by UltraHPQ.  The quartz from Sugarbag Hill depositcan be readily purified to meet the needs of the solar and  electronics industries.  Sugarbag hill has a JORC Measured and Indicated resource categorisation of ~1.2 million tonnes and is open at depth and along strike. Future drilling at Sugarbag Hill and other exploration permit drilling is targetted to increase project life beyond the current 12.4 years.

Operations will be supported by a fully equipped and staffed Research & Development facility and local analytical and process test capabilities.

UltraHPQ is committed to collaborating with others, including other proponents at LEIP and regional academic institutions to realise the potential to establish an integrated, downstream solar PV manufacturing hub in Queensland.
