HIGH PURITY QUARTZ SAND AND POWDER

Raw quartz rock is mined and crushed in Far North Queensland. Qualifying pre-processed materials are then purified to High Purity Quartz Sand and Powder for export.

High Purity Quartz Sand is used in specialist glass making facilities to make high purity quartzware products/tools used to smelt polysilicon as a basis for mono-crystalline solar PV and semiconductor grade wafers. High purity quartz sand is a necessity in the entire manufacturing chain.

Ultra HPQ

Ultra High Purity Quartz (HPQ) is a new entrant into the high purity quartz sand and powder market. The company was established by a management team that has spent the last ten years working in the sector.

With the acquisition of a suitable quartz mine, Ultra HPQ was formed in late 2015.

The Sugarbag Hill quartz is a hydrothermal quartz deposit that has been drilled and assayed confirming
a chemical signature that can be processed to high purity grades. The quartz body is approximately 800m long and has an
estimated volume of greater than 2 million tonnes.
