High Purity Quartz Limited, a new entrant to the exclusive club of ultra-high purity quartz sand and powder markets, announced a rebrand from its’ former “HPQ Materials” moniker to “Ultra HPQ”.

Stuart Jones, CEO at Ultra HPQ, said “We seek to join a very limited club of quartz sand producers who operate at the highest level of quartz sand purity in the world ie at above 99.99% pure SiO2 or, in other words, SiO2 which includes impurities at less than 100 parts per million (100ppm) down to a mere 10ppm. The sand at these levels of purity is used to manufacture ultra-high purity quartzware, semiconductors and solar pV wafers and so demand is booming and supply is limited”.

“It’s important that we clearly differentiate ourselves from other emerging producers who also claim to produce high purity quartz sand but at purities which are in fact an order of magnitude lower. Sand of lower purity is used in higher volume, lower value end uses. There is no globally accepted definition of high purity quartz sand so we need to be a clear as possible on the markets we are targeting.”

“We believe that the rebranding to include ULTRA will help to accentuate our difference, as increasingly potential investors are unaware that there is a real jump in the value based on our products which sit at the very top of the purity spectrum”.

The rebranding includes a redesign of the company’s website, logo, graphics, communications and correspondence. Ultra HPQ new brand assets include a simplified, logo, with an iconic spiral icon.
